Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Well so much for the wishful thinking regarding getting some work life balance. The past couple of weeks have been insane. USS New York Returns To New York. The new Navy assault ship USS New York, built with World Trade Center. Steel, arrived in its namesake city Monday with a rifle volley salute near the site of the 2001 terrorist attack. First responders, families of Sept. Victims and the public gathered Monday at a waterfront viewing area, where they could see the crew standing at attention along the deck of the battleship gray vessel.

I have been a slug for a week. I am watching The Sopranos on Amazon Prime. OMG! Those people like to kill and hurt people! The story is fun but I have had a few bad dreams. Yikes! I have been catching up on the HGTV shows I have recorded on the DVR. Good Bones and Fixer Upper. Under a bit of everything. I am so glad to start a new year. We had a lot of tragedy happen in our extended family last year. It has been tough but we have seen how strong we can be.

This recipe is from my good friend, Theresa Preston who lives in Australia. I believe using the whole egg makes the macaroons taste so much better. 2-3 eggs depending on the size you buy. I always buy large eggs. 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring.
